Work in progress: stats database processing
Seems like the process of importing dumped stats database data into Excel is frustrating folks. I have a solution: a spreadsheet that automatically updates itself with newly-dumped data. I'm going to polish it up a bit and let the other branches take a look at it.
Recent works
Here is a brief list of things I worked on prior to the start of this blog:
- Uploaded some homegrown office productivity projects to Sharepoint
- Updated second floor maps to present correct call number ranges
- Designed media center map to help students better locate different collections
- Updated the old recital database to include recently acquired recitals
- Began collaborating with Kerri Baunach to develop the process to integrate recital data into Infokat
- Developed a much faster way to digitize cassette tapes and records by better harnessing the processing power of my audio engineering software.
I'm off to lunch now; I'll post more later.
