It's easy to fall out of the habit of writing here, especially when I get swamped. Things have fortunately quieted down a bunch now that we're over a week past the end of the Spring semester. I finally found time to start IRIS training. On this past Monday I passed the 100 level intro class, and I'm currently waiting for the results of the 200 level one that I finished today.

Oh gravy, just based on the flow of text on here it probably looks like I haven't had any good ideas for about a week now. I'll have some interesting stuff to say by this afternoon, I'm sure. For now, though, check this out: on Monday I'm going to test out what could end up being a fast and easy way to make DVD backups of VHS tapes. Nice!
